ABOUT
Carol Sebert graduated from her studies in Toronto with a passion for both painting and textile design.
She paints in oils and watercolour. . She works plein air in all seasons capturing the light and temperature of a day. Larger landscapes are inspired by her plein air work while describing a more pensive interpretation. She arranges still life work in her studio in Flesherton Ontario.
She examines the natural world by capturing the energy of the subject through the joy of colour.
Carol founded 'Creative Matters' in 1988. In building this award winning international carpet design company she fulfilled her interest in textiles and design. She has retired from this role, but continues to work with the International Wool Textile Organization as the chair of the Interiors working group. She is also on the board of the Canadian Wool Council.
